Recent activities to inform young people about our studies

Recently we participated in two events that aim to inform future students about their possibilities:

CareerFair’14 Speeddating

Last week we participated at the CareerFair’14 within the science communication project fti ... remixed Speeddating, which took place at the Austria Center Vienna. This event provides the opportunity to highlight opportunities from a wide range of science disciplines to young people who are searching for their future field of studies or they are interest in scientific careers.

Around 45 school adults and students had the opportunity to meet up with young researchers from different fields such as Mechatronics/Robotics, Informatics,  Photogrammetry, Energy & Transport Management and Enviromentally-friendly Transport Infrastructure. They had the chance to get to know researchers in person and discuss about the topic of research, innovation and technology. Our research group photogrammetry was represented by Ana Djuricic. You can also read the organizer's report in German.

BeST³

BeST³ is the largest Austrian career fair and took place 6–9 March 2014. Our studies in Geodesy and Geoinformation were presented to interested young people by various staff members of our department as well as by representatives of the student union.
