Special Issue on Satellite Soil Moisture published in JAG
Wouter Dorigo has been guest editor of a special issue on “The advances in the validation and application of remotely sensed soil moisture” in the International Journal of Applied Earth Observation and Geoinformation (IF 3.5). The aim of this special issue is to give a comprehensive state-of-the-art on the potential and limitations of various new satellite products, in particular with respect to the various application fields. The Special Issue contains 26 contributions in total, separated into two parts:
- Part 1 primarily focuses on single sensor soil moisture retrievals and product validation and is available online at: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/journal/03032434/45/part/PB
- Part 2 focuses on soil moisture applications, in particular those using the long-term soil moisture dataset generated within ESA's Climate Change Initiative for soil moisture, a project in which TU Wien plays a leading role. Part 2 can be accessed at: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/journal/03032434/48
The special issue features several contributions with TU Wien participation:
